Do I need an appointment to get help with my resume?

We recommend that students send an email using their PHSC email domain with their resume attached to careerservices@phsc.edu. We also recommend scheduling a follow-up appointment to review their resume and discuss their career planning goals.

How do I create a Handshake account?

Students can visit Handshake and sign up using their PHSC student email. Once registered, they can complete their profiles and start exploring opportunities right away.

How do I find an internship?

Students can search for internship opportunities directly through Handshake or visit our internship page for additional resources and guidance on the application process. Please keep in mind that we are not a placement service; however, we collaborate with agencies such as CareerSource to help students in securing positions in their careers.

How do I schedule a career advising appointment?

To schedule an appointment with a career advisor, students can reach us by emailing Career Services at careerservices@phsc.edu.

Is Handshake free for students?

Yes, Handshake is completely free for all PHSC students.

What is Focus 2 and how do I access it?

Focus 2 is a career and education planning tool that helps students explore majors and careers based on their interests, values and skills. To access the tool, students can visit the Career Assessment page.
